# Mobile icons

All assets use the approved Growing arches symbol. These are reusable icon resources; neylo currently implements a web application.

## iOS and iPadOS

- `ios/AppIcon.appiconset/`: classic iPhone/iPad asset catalog with named 20, 29, 40, 60, 76, and 83.5-point slots at the applicable 1x/2x/3x scales, plus the 1024px App Store icon. Actual PNG sizes: 20, 29, 40, 58, 60, 76, 80, 87, 120, 152, 167, 180, and 1024px.
- `ios/AppIcon-modern.appiconset/`: single-size 1024px catalog with default, dark, and grayscale tinted appearances. Use this **or** the classic catalog for an app target; assign the chosen catalog in Xcode's App Icons setting.
- PNGs are RGB and opaque with square corners. iOS supplies the final corner mask. The source icon SVGs are in the kit's `svg/` directory.
- For Apple's layered icon workflow, import the SVG artwork into Icon Composer and configure its layers in the destination project. The kit includes SVG source and flattened catalogs; it does not include a compiled `.icon` package.

See [Apple's app-icon guidance](https://developer.apple.com/design/human-interface-guidelines/app-icons) and [Xcode asset management](https://developer.apple.com/documentation/xcode/asset-management). Native asset catalogs are generated and structurally checked here; they have not been compiled with Xcode in this Linux workspace.

## Android

Copy `android/res/` into the native app module's `src/main/res/`, merging resources with the app's existing configuration. Set `android:icon="@mipmap/ic_launcher"` and, optionally, `android:roundIcon="@mipmap/ic_launcher_round"` on the application element.

| Density | Legacy / round icon | Adaptive raster layer | Notification silhouette |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| ldpi | 36px | 81px | 18px |
| mdpi | 48px | 108px | 24px |
| hdpi | 72px | 162px | 36px |
| xhdpi | 96px | 216px | 48px |
| xxhdpi | 144px | 324px | 72px |
| xxxhdpi | 192px | 432px | 96px |

- `mipmap-anydpi-v26/`: adaptive launcher definitions for API 26+.
- `mipmap-anydpi-v33/`: definitions adding a monochrome layer for API 33+ themed icons.
- `drawable/`: vector foreground and monochrome layers with a 108dp viewport. The glyph remains within the central 66dp safe area. These vectors are used by the adaptive XML; matching density PNGs are also supplied for other toolchains.
- `drawable-*/ic_stat_contentharness.png`: white logo silhouette on transparency for notification small icons.
- `google-play-512.png`: opaque, square 512px store icon. Google Play supplies its own display treatment.

See [Android adaptive icons](https://developer.android.com/develop/ui/compose/system/icon_design_adaptive) and [density scaling](https://developer.android.com/training/multiscreen/screendensities). Android XML resources are structurally checked here; native integration and compilation belong to the destination application.

## Mobile web

The kit's `browser/` folder contains the opaque 180px Apple touch icon, 192/512px web icons, and a full-bleed maskable 512px icon. The maskable symbol stays inside the central circle with an 80% diameter, following the [web manifest icon guidance](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Progressive_web_apps/How_to/Define_app_icons).
